September Fun

We didn't have any major events in September but lots of family fun!
I can't say enough how much I wish I captured more moments on camera but I'll take what I can remember to get and remember that I was busy enjoying the moments that I forgot.
Here's September...
We tackled some appliance replacing this month!
Our washer and dryer along with the dishwasher were decades old. The dishwasher was smelling pretty bad even after washing and the dryer would turn off sometimes on it's own and other times it would run continually until it was turned off manually. We had quite a few loads of very hot clothes and thought we'd better replace before we started a fire.
We got super lucky with a great Labor Day appliance sale and scored a great new dishwasher then lucky enough a coworker of Chris's Dad was selling her nearly new set and we gave it a new home for a killer deal! Love them all!!

 Sydney at almost 16 months
Her personality is really showing through and I absolutely love this stage! She loves interacting with everyone and playing with her toys. She still gets around scooting on her bottom but we're hoping one of these days she'll figure out how to stand up. Unfortunately, she's pretty quick so it's not slowing her down too much, just ruining her pants!

We had a family night at Putt-Putt and everyone absolutely loved it! Tanner loved chasing his ball into the hole and I got to take Ethan on his first go-kart ride. Super fun! Ethan can't wait til he's big enough to drive one himself.

Labor Day Camping

We are making our Labor Day Camp out into an annual occurrence and this year we enjoyed it with even more families! We went back to the same spot as last year at the Peaks of Otter and had such a fun time! Sydney did fantastic sleeping in the pack n play in our tent and the boys had a blast running around with all the other kids exploring and getting dirty as kids should do. They loved having their own flashlights at night and going on adventures around our site. There were 5 families in total with a combined kid count of 16! It was definitely a party. And what's a party without amazing camping food and this year did not disappoint.
We along with the Ayres family were in charge of dinner and made Dutch oven lasagna, garlic bread and salad. So yummy! Then for breakfast we had a feast of just about everything under the sun that could be served for breakfast. Way to go everyone!
After some late night relaxing by the fire and great conversations we headed to bed, got a great night sleep, and then enjoyed a fun hike down the lake for some Ranger fishing. I love that the Peaks are so kid friendly and offer this fun tradition for my kids. Saves us having to bring our own fishing stuff and gives them the opportunity to try it out. Ethan came through with another great catch this year. Tanner wasn't interested in trying it out this year..maybe next time he'll go for his first catch.
All in all, it was another fun camping trip and we can't wait for our next opportunity!
