6 Weeks Old

All my babies have loved being swaddled up in a blanket from the time they are newborn and Sydney is no different. I just love my little sleeping burritos...this picture was taken after she escaped from the full "burrito wrap" and is in her fully relaxed pose.

Baby BFF's

Sydney & her best buddy Kyla Wolf
How fun to have babies so close in age! Surprisingly, Sydney is older by 2 days!
Kyla was born 2 weeks late and Sydney came about 2 weeks early so even though our due dates were a month apart...they knew they were meant to be buddies.

Overnight Guests

Josiah, Tanner, Avery, Monson, & Ethan
Right after we returned home from Utah, as in, the next day, we were visited by our great friends from our NAU days, The Turleys. We haven't seen them since our last trip out to Utah and everyone has grown so much since then...that and 3 new additions since our last visit. Unfortunately, Chris had to go out of town on business and missed the whole visit. Our kids all hit it off amazingly right off the bat and had fun playing all day. I loved visiting with Andrew & Elizabeth and it was just like old times of hanging out and chatting for hours. We used to live right across the hall in our apartment complex and at times it seemed like one big apartment because we were so comfortable hanging out all the time!
There's nothing like GREAT friends!

Utah Trip!

There's just something special about our anniversary weekend. 2011 brought another wedding on our weekend, this time on our wedding date, June 18th. We now share our anniversary with Chris's brother Brent and his wife Hannah. They were married in the Salt Lake City temple and it was beautiful. I'm so glad we were able to take our whole family, including little 1 month old Sydney, along for the ride. Everyone did great on the trip! We made this into our summer vacation/anniversary trip and enjoyed ourselves with a great combination of relaxation and activities!

Congrats guys! We are happy to share our anniversary with you!

"Laxing" at the Hotel
The kids just love playing and relaxing at hotels and it's always fun to have a break from the regular routine.
We loved and enjoyed the beautiful mountains and the weather was absolutely perfect all weekend. This picture doesn't even do justice to the beauty of Utah.
Friends!!
While we had a little wedding down time, we took the opportunity to visit with friends. We were able to meet up with the Romney's and enjoy our favorite activity, hanging at the park. It was great to chat with Brooke like old times and the boys enjoyed running around, throwing rocks in a creek, and exploring like boys should.

Temple Square
Our last day in Salt Lake we spent some time as a family at Temple Square. We didn't have a ton of time but we got the chance to check out some of the Conference Center and show our kids the Visitor's Center. The absolutely loved all the pictures, exhibits, and statues. It is so much fun just walking around and enjoying the Spirit of it all!

We had a wonderful trip and it was absolutely worth the coordination it took!

Utah Dinosaur Zoo

On the Friday before the wedding, we took the opportunity to have a little Utah fun. We heard great things about the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake so off we went for a fun family day!
Every good day starts with a little "picture of someone taking a picture"
What a face! A little tired boy, but I just can't resist this sweet little face and adorable shaggy hair!
It started off like any normal zoo...
then Dinosaurs???
Never quite got the point of their involvement in the zoo but there were interactive dinosaurs all over. One even sprayed water unexpectedly, crazy!

The boys had such a great time with Uncle Mark!

This was Tanner's first solo carousel ride. This was such a fun one, all unique animals, no repeats...a learning experience while you ride!
We had a great day!
The weather was awesome and it was so much fun playing and having fun with family!

Mom's Here!

I got lucky this time around that my Mom was spending the week with Dave at a business function when Sydney made her entrance into the world. They were actually on the plane when she was born and arrived in Boston to a message on their phone that she had arrived. My mom was able to do some switching around and they flew down here after business was done. Both Dave & my Mom were able to visit and Mom was able to stick around for a couple weeks to help out! It was so nice for everyone! The boys loved the attention and fun & I appreciated the help when life was a little chaotic! :)
