After His Mother...

I am constantly being told how much Ethan is "just like his Dad." His physical features are obvious, but Chris's parents even tell me how much his personality is similar as well. Every now and then I do see a glimmer of me in him though.

Currently, Ethan is obsessed with playing games. He loves them! First and foremost, he loves board games and he's caught on so well to rules and taking turns. He's even a pretty good sport about not winning (maybe because Mom doesn't let him win all the time.) His current favorites are Pop Belly (purchased from a Game home party-Simply Fun- love their kid's games) and Cat in the Hat, I Can Do That. He is quite a chatty little boy, a quality that I love about him, but it can make even a quick game take a lot longer which wouldn't be a problem except for Tanner who is always dying to jump in and play as well.

Ethan's love of games does work to my advantage pretty frequently because if a task of any kind can be made into a game, he's all for it. Love that!

Here Comes One More

Our family is about to get just a little bigger and this time...

It's a GIRL!!!

We're due June 3, 2011...so excited!

I've been feeling all along that this pregnancy was going a little different, but I didn't want to make a full fledged guess (I don't like to be wrong...think Monica from "Friends") Silly, I know, but regardless, Chris and I were not surprised when our ultrasound technician gave us the news. We're thrilled that we'll have a little girl join our family, let's just hope she can withstand her crazy brothers.

A New Year Walking

We had a great New Year's Eve this year! We had all of Chris's family here with the exception of Kyle & Britany who had just flown back home the day before and the addition of Brent's girlfriend Hannah who flew in that day. We had an early new year's celebration with treats and sent the kiddos off to bed and spent the rest of the evening playing games. It was a blast! We got to know Hannah real quick with a game of Loaded Questions then broke off into groups to chat and play a bunch of other games all evening. Being with family and friends was a great way to bring in the new year, too bad I didn't have any pictures from the evening.

The new year brought some exciting new adventures to our sweet Tanner...he finally decided to take a leap of faith and give walking a try. I can't quite figure out his personality, at times he's so cautious and shy and other times he's ready to run off and explore on his own. In the world of walking...extremely cautious. He was a little over 16 months when he finally decided to give it some serious effort and in no time he was off. He loves being able to chase after Ethan now and I know I'm glad that he can walk around outside. A crawling baby in the dirt is pretty hard on the clothes!
